Chapter 120

Thursday came and so did game 5. Karen thought about it all day at work and something didn't sit well. When she was done with work and heading home, she still couldn't shake the feeling about tonight's game. Karen pulled up to the house but didn't see Sidney's car in the driveway. She pulled in, going inside and changing clothes. She went into the living room, put her iPod into the speaker dock and turned it on, sitting on the couch and waited for Sidney to come home. A half hour later, she heard a car pull up and soon Sidney appeared.

"There's my baby waiting for me."

"How come you're so late getting home?"

"Stayed on the ice a little bit longer working on a few things for tonight."

Karen wasn't about to tell him her feelings "I hope they work for you."

"Me too" he said sitting beside her "I just want this series to end tonight."

"I know you do stud" Karen said putting her hand in his hair, playing with the curls.

"Will you go in with me tonight?"

"I'd love to" she smiled at him "actually, I already told the girls to meet me at the arena and they figured I would go in with you anyway."

"They are getting pretty smart with all this. Hope they don't mind."

"Since I hold the tickets, they will never mind."

"Good to know" he said looking at his watch "nap time."

"Want some company?"

"Always baby." They got up and Karen turned her iPod off while Sidney waited for her at the steps. They walked upstairs and Karen laid down waiting for Sidney to join her. "Do you think we'll close the series out tonight?"

"You know I don't make predictions Sid."

"I know you don't but I was hoping you'd tell me anyway."

"Sorry but not going to happen. If I'm wrong, I am not going to have you hate me especially if this series goes seven games."

"So you think we'll play to seven then?"

"Stop it and go to sleep" she said then kissed him before holding on to him until he fell asleep.

When the alarm rang an hour and a half later, Karen made sure Sidney was up before heading downstairs and making dinner. After they ate, Karen got dressed so they could head to the arena. She joined him down at the lounge with the guys until the girls showed up. Karen wished them good luck and left, but not before Sidney got his own good luck kiss to the cheers of the room. Karen could feel the heat rise in her cheeks as she went outside to meet her friends. After all this time of showing public displays of affection with Sidney around the guys, they could still make her blush.

Soon, the doors opened and the game got underway. The first period showed signs of a good game as they went scoreless into intermission. The second and third periods however told a different story and the Flyers dominated the game, winning 4-0 and forcing a game six. Karen sat in her seat sick to her stomach that the feelings she's had all day came true. She left the girls and headed to the lounge to wait for Sidney. She peaked in and saw him with the media and felt saddened watching him and his expressions. It was almost an hour before he emerged and saw Karen sitting on the couch.

"Hey baby."

"Hey."

"Ready to go home?" Karen just offered a smile and nodded, getting up and grabbing his outreached hand. They walked out and Sidney didn't feel like signing for anyone to the dismay of the crowd. They got in the car and he headed home. Karen wasn't about to ask him what happened, she knew better than that. She knew if he wanted to talk about it, he would and he knew she would be there to listen. They got home and went inside "mind if I don't join you right away upstairs?"

Karen hugged him then looking directly in his eyes "no, come up when you're ready. I love you."

"I love you too baby. I'll be up in a little bit" Sidney said letting her go and walking into the kitchen. Karen heard him get into the liquor under the sink and sighed heading upstairs.

Sidney poured himself a glass and downed the shot of Jack before pouring one more and then heading to bed. He got undressed to his boxers and crawled into bed.

"You ok?" Karen said somewhat asleep when she felt him hold on to her.

"Yeah, just needed a shot to forget this game. I can't believe we played this fuckin badly and are sending it back to Philly for game 6. The crowd is going to be brutal."

"You guys managed to win one game there, momentum can shift back into your favor on Saturday afternoon."

"I know, we just wanted to put it away tonight."

"It didn't happen and you guys need to just move on. Focus on Saturday's game and practice tomorrow and go into Philly and kick some ass in front of their fans."

"You really need to stop being so positive about all of this baby, it's getting annoying" he said cracking a smile.

"Just wait until you get deeper into the playoffs, it will really get annoying then" Karen smiled "get some sleep stud, tomorrow's another day." Karen turned her head and kissed him before getting comfortable and falling asleep.

Before Karen left for work Friday morning, she gave Sidney a kiss and told him when she saw him Saturday they would be celebrating moving on to the second round. She was glad that even being half asleep, she still got a smile out of him. As she got to work and did her job for a few hours, she got a message telling her she had a new email in her inbox. Karen opened her email and saw it was from Todd in Hamburg. She smiled opening it know he was just going to rub it in about game six, but read it anyway.

Not going to brag, just will make this short and sweet....have extra ticket for the game Sat and you need to get your ass here and go with me.

Karen couldn't believe what she was reading. She knew he was at work and decided to call the store. Karen knew what department he was workng in and with the store not opened yet, he would pick up.

"I figured you would call me" Todd said as he picked up the phone.

"What do you mean you have an extra ticket and want me to go with you?"

"Alexander is sick so Amy needs to stay home with him. Come on, you know you want to."

"You don't have other friends who would kill for a ticket to a playoff game between the Pens and Flyers?"

"Of course, but if you're still dating Sidney I figured I would give you first choice."

"Well today is my early day and I do leave at 10..."

"See, that's perfect. We haven't spoken that much over the last year anyway and need to catch up. What do you say?"

Karen smiled "I say I'll see you sometime tonight."

"That's my girl. Now get off the phone and get back to work slacker."

"Ok" she said laughing "I'll call you when I get to the airport so you can pick me up."

"Will do. Later."

"Bye Todd." Karen couldn't believe he would think of her like that but was glad he did. She found Diane and told her what was going on and said that she would tell others as to why she wasn't watching the game with them. Ten o'clock came and Karen rushed out and up to the house. She had looked at flights on the computer at work and found one leaving around 1p. She didn't really pick a returned flight because when she would tell Sidney she was there, he could hopefully let her come home with the team. If not, she'll wait around for a flight back. She packed an overnight back so she wouldn't have to wait for baggage and headed to the airport. She called Todd and told him what time she'd arrive. As Karen sat in the airport waiting to board, she thought about last year and surprising Sidney during last year's playoff series with the Flyers. She hoped he would be equally surprised again this year. A while later, they called her flight and she boarded the plane for the short flight to Philadelphia.

Friday night, Karen was hanging out with Todd and Amy when her cell phone rang. She saw it was Sidney and went into another room for privacy.

"Hey stud."

"Hey baby. I just needed to hear your voice."

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing. I'm just in this lonely hotel room, which is the same one from last year I believe and the memories of you still linger. I should have pushed you into coming since it was a weekend game."

"Sorry, but hey, it's only for tonight and the game is an afternoon one so you'll be back early enough tomorrow night. Plus we have all day Sunday to be together."

"All day huh? You may need to rest up tonight and tomorrow before I get home."

"I will conserve all energy I promise."

"Tell me we'll win tomorrow. Tell me this ends it and we don't leave it to fate for a seventh game. I need to hear it from you baby."

"You'll pull out a win tomorrow. It may start out rough, but you are the stronger team and will come back with a flurry of goals to win this, silencing this crowd. There won't be a seventh game stud."

Sidney closed his eyes letting the words sink deeper into him "thank you baby. Now only if you were here, it would make that win more special."

"I'm here with you in your heart Sid."

"You're in more than my heart baby." Sidney heard a knock at his door and opened it to reveal Jordan "I better go, heading out to dinner with Staalsy and a few others."

"Ok and tell them I said good luck tomorrow."

"I will. I love you baby."

"I love you too stud. Bye." They hung up and Karen smiled knowing he'd be surprised tomorrow after the game. She did have a good feeling about tomorrow and didn't lie to him about what he needed to hear. Karen went back to Todd and Amy and enjoyed the rest of the evening with her friends.

Saturday morning and Karen woke up in a good mood. She knew the Pens would pull it off and go home with the series clinched. She got ready and headed downstairs to find Amy making breakfast.

"Morning Ames."

"Morning Karen. How'd you sleep?"

"As best I could without a man beside me."

"Aww, you'll see him soon."

"I know. Is it bad to miss him so much?"

"No, that's what love is and from the look on your face you've got it bad."

"You know, I get that a lot."

Amy saw the rings on her finger and couldn't hold it in anymore "did you and Sidney get married?" Karen looked at her rings and realized she didn't have it on last night for them to notice "I don't want to pry or anything but the evidence is overwhelming."

"Yeah we did, last Saturday actually. He surprised me after game two with a midnight skate around the ice. It was our one year anniversary and he asked me, I accepted but he also had a preacher all ready there to marry us that night."

"Wow, sounds romantic."

"It was. He never stops amazing me Ames and I didn't want to let that go."

"Good for you and congrats" she said walking over to hug her.

"Thanks but we really haven't made it public so if you wouldn't say anything."

"I won't and knowing privileged information is exciting." They both laughed and finished making breakfast. Todd soon joined them and they ate before heading to the arena.

"You excited about the game?" he asked her as he parked the car.

"I am always excited about a hockey game. But the question is...you ready for your team to hit the links after today?"

"Don't get cocky on me now. I see you decided to not wear your jersey."

Karen looked at the white t-shirt she got from one of the games "yeah, didn't want anything spilled on it...especially when the Pens win."

"We'll see little girl." They headed into the arena and got in their seats. Karen wanted to text Sidney and tell him she was there, but knew it would mean so much more to wait until after. The game got under way and it started out like last game. Both teams fought hard in the first period and there was no scoring until the Flyers scored back to back goals in under a minute and made it 2-o going into intermission. When the second period started, it brought more than the crowd could handle. The Flyers had scored another goal to make it 3-0 but soon after, Max got into a fight and brought life into the team. The Pens scored three times in the second with Fedotenko, Eaton and Sidney, who tied the game. Karen saw the life after that and knew it would be favorable for them. Going into the third period, Gonchar made the game winning goal and Sidney added an empty net for good measures. Karen stood and cheered with the other fews Penguin fans that were in the arena, it was like she had to. When the final seconds ticked down, Karen and Todd walked out to the concourse and she sent Sidney a text. Karen had her bag with her already so it was easier to either go be with Sidney or have Todd take her to the airport.

Sidney was in the locker room celebrating with the guys. He got his gear off so he could head to the post game media scrum. He was ready to walk out when something told him to check his cell phone. Sidney picked it up and saw there was one message. Bringing the phone with him, he opened it and read the message.

Congrats stud. I knew you could do it. Ready to really celebrate?

Sidney smiled and sent a text back before getting pulled in front of the media. Karen's phone went off and she read the message.

Only if it's with you. I wish you were here with me baby.

Karen smiled and sending what he wanted to hear.

I am here stud...just waiting to see you.

As Sidney was talking, his phone buzzed and waited until he was done to check it. After five minutes, the media let him go and walking back to the locker room, he checked his phone. His eyes had to do a double take when he read what he did. Dialing Karen's number, he needed to find out what was going on.

"Hello" Karen answered sweetly.

"Are seriously here?" Sidney responded.

"Would you be mad if I said yes?"

"Hell no, where are you?"

"Still up on the concourse. I wanted to hear from you first before I left."

"Leave? Where are you going?"

"I was heading to the airport to find a flight out, that is if I don't have any other offers."

"You know I have an offer for you. Are you alone?"

"No, I'm with my friend Todd. He invited me to the game."

"Well bring Todd and get that cute ass down here."

"Since you put it so nicely, we'll be down in a minute." They hung up and Karen asked Todd if he wanted to head to the locker room. His smile told her more than yes and she laughed as they headed down. They got stopped by security but soon Sidney came out and told them it was ok.

He scooped Karen up into a hug "I can't believe you came down baby."

"Well you need to thank this guy here" she said pulling away from him.

"Nice to see you again Todd" he said shaking his hand.

"You too Sidney. Great game today."

"Thanks. So, how did this happen?"

"My son is sick and my wife had to stay home with him. I emailed Karen and told her to come down for the game. I think she took a matter of a minute to agree."

"I don't doubt that. Come on, let's head into the locker room. I'm sure some of the guys will be eager to see you." They walked into the locker room and Sidney made a little announcement "look who I found roaming around."

Max was the first one up and hugged her "tell me Nat came with you."

"Sorry Maxwell, was invited by myself but she's home waiting for you."

"That's ok, glad you came to see us win." Karen felt bad that she couldn't bring Natalie for him but this wasn't her trip down. Soon, all the guys came over to say hi and Karen went to sit by Sidney in his stall as Todd talked to some of the players.

"I can't believe you're actually here."

"Just making your wish come true."

"You make all my wishes come true baby. How are you getting home?"

"I guess I'll just have Todd take me to the airport and see what flight I can get out and meet you home."

"No, you are coming home with me and I don't think anyone will have a problem with that."

"You sure?"

"Definitely."

"I think I'm going to get Todd out of here so you guys can finish getting ready."

"Ok, just wait for me outside in the hallway and I'll be out in a few minutes." Karen nodded and got up, only to be brought back down for a kiss. Sidney let her go and she went to get Todd and head out.

"I swear I could stay in there all day" Todd exclaimed.

"And why's that?"

"Just talking to them. They are amazing guys."

"I may make a Penguins fan out of you yet."

"Ha ha, don't bet on it." Todd looked at his watch "I better get home. Everything ok for you getting home?"

"Yeah, thank you so much for the extra ticket. You are a great friend" she said hugging him goodbye.

"I do what I can, just keep me in your thoughts if the Pens make the final round and I will gladly make the trip up to Pittsburgh."

"Will do. I'll talk to you soon." She said then walked him out before going back to the hallway to wait for Sidney.

Chapter 119

Later that morning, Sidney was at practice with the team and every now and then couldn't stop smiling when he wasn't in the middle of a drill. At the end of practice, Sidney was thankful he got his shot in during the shoot out and didn't have to stay till the end like last time. He skated off the ice and got what little gear he could before the media got to him. After a few minutes, they left him alone and went to another player. Max sat in his stall beside him and just smiled.

"So, how did last night go?"

"Let's just say, Bambi took care of it all" he said smiling back at him.

"That she did. Natalie was a bit friskier then she's ever been too."

"Is that right?"

"Yep and since I'm really not one to brag, we'll just leave it at that."

Sidney began laughing "thank you, really." They both finished getting their gear off and got their showers to head home.

When Sidney got home, he decided to fix something for lunch and wait for Karen to get home. A couple hours of watching tv, he heard a car pull up and smiled when she walked through the door.

"Hey baby" he said looking at her from the couch.

"Why is it that I always give you a better greeting than that?"

"Well if you come join me, I'm sure I can make it a little better." Karen walked over to the couch and sat down beside him, letting their lips meet for the ultimate kiss "so?"

"That was definitely better. How was practice, were you juice boy again?" she smiled.

"No, thank god. I still think they had it planned I would lose."

"Oh poor baby" she said kissing him again "what do you want to do for dinner later?"

"Actually, you feel like going out?"

"Where?"

"Not sure yet but somewhere we'll both like."

"I think that can work. Mind if I grab a nap before we go?"

"Still a little tired from last night?"

"Yes and it wasn't from not sleeping" she smiled then kissed him getting off the couch and walking out of the room.

"Want some company? I am a little worn out myself" Sidney said meeting her by the steps. She held out her hand and he took it, walking upstairs with her. They boh changed into shorts and a t-shirt, crawling into bed. Sidney set the alarm for two hours before Karen curled up to his warm body and fell asleep.

When the alarm finally rang, Sidney reached for it and came back to Karen "time to get up baby."

"Mmm, don't wanna?"

"Come on, we need to get up so we're not late."

"Late for what?"

"Dinner, where else."

"Did you make reservations somewhere?"

"Let's just get up and get dressed so we can go" he said not offering up any information and getting out of bed. Karen stayed there for a minute then got up and got ready. Sidney said to keep it casual and she did with a pair of capris and nice top as he had on a short sleeve polo shirt and a pair of jeans. He sneaked in a kiss before they headed out. Sidney pulled up to a quaint little restaurant and parked. He got out, going around to help Karen out of the passenger side.

"Since you decided to wear your wedding ring, I'm assuming you are not caring who may pick up on it" Karen said holding his hand.

"I am taking my wife out for dinner and at this point, I want the world to know" he said opening the door for her. They walked in and Sidney talked to the hostess before she guided them to a table. Karen smiled when she saw Mario and Nathalie already there. She gave Sidney a look and hugged them before sitting down.

"Karen, it is always a pleasure to see you" Mario hugged her.

"You too" she said.

"Sid, I hardly see you outside of the arena. She must have some power over you to keep you away."

Sidney looked to Karen and smiled "she does have something."

"So, not that I don't enjoy dinner out with great friends but I get the feeling something's going on. Care to explain Sid?"

"Mario, don't insinuate anything" Nathalie said hittling his arm lightly. "Stop interrogating them."

"It's alright Nat, it's the reason I asked you guys here. There is something going on and you should hear it from me...well us."

"I'm listening."

"I asked Karen to marry me, she said yes and we got married at center ice after game 2 at midnight" Sidney said holding up each of their left hands showing the rings.

Mario looked from Sidney to Karen and then to their hands taking a deep breath "I know."

"What do you mean you know?" Karen asked shocked.

"I was still around and when I started to leave a few minutes before midnight, I saw the lights over the ice still on and when I went to see why I saw you two and a man on center ice. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what was going on."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Sidney asked.

"I figured you wanted it to be kept a secret until you were ready to say something."

"It wasn't so much of a secret when the whole team knew" Karen nudged him smiling.

"Most of them knew because I was asking for some advice about it."

"You needed advice to ask me to marry you?"

"Yes I did baby. I wasn't sure how you'd react, let alone answer me and I knew if I planned it perfectly you couldn't say no."

"She wouldn't have said no" Nathalie stated smiling at Karen who smiled back remembering their earlier conversation.

"What?" he said shocked and confused.

"Can we maybe discuss this later?" Karen pleaded with her eyes.

"So if the team knew and I knew, who all have you told about this?"

"Well I told Nat and Lauren at dinner."

"And I told my dad when he came to Philly for games 3 and 4, who I am guessing told my mom when he went back."

"If all the main people know then when the media finds out, everyone will be able to handle it and it won't be a distraction for you."

"If they find out before the playoffs are over, then they find out but I don't plan on discussing my private life until then."

"Good to hear, but you might want to tell Ray, Ken and a few others after this series with the Flyers end."

"I will." They ordered their food when the waitress came back over and continued talking. When their food came, Sidney and Mario talked about the series as Karen and Nathalie talk about everything other than hockey. After they ate, Mario and Nathalie left to give them some alone time.

"Do you want dessert baby?"

"Not really, kind of full."

"How about we share something?" Sidney made a motion for the waitress who went to the back and then came out a minute later with a plate. She set it down in front of them with two forks and left. Sidney picked up a fork and get some cake on it "here."

Karen took the bite from the fork "mm, that was good." She grabbed her fork and did the same for Sidney. "Ok, let me guess what just went on here...we shared a piece of wedding cake?"

"Well we got married, the celebration after was our reception so I guess this would be the cake part."

"So when's the honeymoon?"

"When the season's over."

"How did I not think of that" she said sarcastically.

Sidney put his arm around her bringing her closer to him "at least we already had the wedding night."

"True. You would have waited around with that and you'd be sleeping on the couch."

"I am glad for that baby, believe me. Do you know how much I love you?"

"Not more than how much I love you."

"I'm serious Karen, I don't think you'll ever know how deep my feeling run for you."

"I don't think I want to know...I rather you express them to me every day we're together."

"That I can do baby, as long as you do the same."

"Deal." Sidney leaned in and brought Karen to him for a sweet kiss before they left. He opened the car door for her and waited for her to get in before shutting the door. He went around to get in himself and they headed home. The twenty minute car ride home, silence filled the car. It was one of their moments that they loved being together without letting conversation ruin it. They held hands the entire way until Sidney pulled into the driveway. Karen got out and met Sidney, walking into the house. She went to the living room and Sidney joined her, cuddling up with each other.

"What did Nat mean about you wouldn't have said no?"

"When I told them about us getting married and how you already had the license, the rings, and the preacher that you went to all that trouble, I couldn't really say no to you."

"I believe that, but I think there's something else."

"The longer we stayed together, the more thoughts of marriage came creeping back into my head. I did want more of a committment from you and I did ultimately wanted us to get married one day. So even if you would have asked me at any time, I wouldn't have said no."

"How long would you have waited for me to ask?"

"Forever, unless I got a better offer from someone else."

"I don't think that would have happened."

"Talk to a couple of your teammates and then get back to me."

Sidney got up and pulled her with him "why don't we go to bed and discuss this more." He leaned down to kiss her and then took her hand and leading her upstairs for the night.

Chapter 118

On Tuesday, Karen went to her house in Pittsburgh before the game. Her friends came up and they decided to join the masses and go watch the game on the big screen at the Igloo. They went out for dinner first and Karen thought about telling them about her and Sidney but decided not to. It's not that she didn't want them to know, she just didn't know how they would take it. She knew they would be happy for her but the underlying thought of them disapproving of it in some way kept her from saying anything.

While they were watching the game unfold, Karen kept thinking about what happened inside a few days ago. She couldn't believe Sidney had planned it all and surprised her. For a brief moment, Karen thought what would have happened if she told him no. She loved him with all the fibers in her body but couldn't help and wonder if they did make a mistake. She just hoped Sidney wouldn't hate her in the long run.

Karen was brought out of her thoughts in time to see Sidney's goal in the second period. While they reviewed the play, they showed him on the screen and Karen couldn't stop the smile from creeping onto her face when she heard all girls around her make comments about him. She looked over and saw her friends looking at her, laughing at the goofy grin she had.

"What?"

"Look at you sitting there with that 'they can talk all they want but I have him' grin" Sheril said.

"Can't help it."

"Then why not brag about it in front of all these people?"

"Because they don't need to know my business." They sat there and laughed until the goal was indeed good and the crowd erupted.

When it was all said and done, the Pens held on and won 3-1. Max even got the last goal and Karen looked at Natalie who had the same smile on her face when they showed him. She looked at Karen and laughed because they both knew what tonight held when the guys got home. They left the arena and headed to Pops for a couple drinks before they dropped Karen and Natalie off at the house. She was going to text Max and tell him that she would be at his house when he got back but decided to surprise him. Karen took her to his house and then headed home to wait for Sidney. She had gotten changed and laid down on the couch until she heard a car door. Karen looked at the clock and noticed it was a little past midnight. She got up off the couch and stood at the doorway to the living room waiting for him to come in.

Sidney got up to the porch and was glad to be home. He unlocked the door and went inside, his eyes spotting Karen standing in front of him in a pair of shorts and one of his Reebok shirts, smiling at him. Sidney dropped his bags and walked over to her, picking her up and not saying a word. He put his face in the crook of her neck as Karen wrapped her arms around his neck. Sidney walked her into the living room, laying them down on the couch with him on top.

"Why don't we just head upstairs?"

"Too far to walk baby" he said matching his lips to hers in a heated kiss. "So what do you have in store for me?"

"Who said I have anything planned?"

"Bambi."

Karen smiled at him "is that right? Well I might have something planned but we need to go upstairs to enjoy it."

"Aren't you tired baby? You do have to work tomorrow."

"Don't worry about me stud, I took a very long nap as soon as I got home." Sidney kissed her before getting up and helping her up. They got the house locked up, going upstairs. When they reached the bedroom, Sidney tried to reach for Karen but she moved away from him. "Why don't you get undressed and lay down on your stomach."

"Will you be undressed too?"

"If you want me to be."

Sidney got real close to her "I want you to be." Karen smiled and they both got undressed. Sidney laid down on the bed and Karen just stared at his body from the muscles in his back to his firm ass and those powerful thighs. She bit her lip trying to keep herself from ravishing him, but she wanted to make it special. Karen got on the bed and straddled his hips. "I like what you're doing so far."

"Ssh, just relax and put everything out of your mind."

"If I put everything out of my mind, then I will fall asleep and not want to scoop you up under me and attack you."

"I'm sure you'll still want that, after all you are a horn dog."

"Says the vibrant naked woman on top of me that can never keep her hands off my rockin body." Karen began to massage his shoulders "see, I told you."

"Shut up or I will get you going then go sleep in the guest bedroom, leaving you to fend for yourself...with your hands tied to the bed."

"Damn baby, alright I will behave. Do to me what you want."

Karen laughed and finished what she started. She continued with his shoulders, giving them a deep massage. Sidney let the tension of the series fade away with the moan that escaped his lips. Karen smiled and moved to his back, working her hands into every muscle. After a half hour, Karen leaned down, pressing her body into him and kissed his cheek that was exposed to her.

"Feel better?"

"I was feeling better as soon as I walked into the house but that really felt good."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it."

"I did" Sidney said turning around under Karen as she sat up to let him move "but I have to wonder what would make you feel good."

Karen moved her hands from his stomach up his chest and arms, holding his hands above his head "you touching me" she whispered.

"Maybe we should change postions and I can make that happen." Karen smiled and moved off of Sidney. He motioned for her to lay down and she did just that. Sidney straddled over her lower back and tried not to sit on her because he didn't want to hurt her. He started at her shoulders, paying the same amount of attention she did to him. Ten minutes later, Sidney moved down her back and every now and again, his fingers would lightly touch the side of her breasts getting a soft giggle out of her. When he was done, Sidney moved his knee inbetween her legs and spread them apart, getting comfortable. He took his hand and found her center, rubbing his fingers over her. Karen couldn't stop moving her hips as Sidney made the sensations stir within her. He took his other hand and began to stroke himself, getting ready for her. When he was, Sidney lifted her hips up a little and postioned himself at her entrance sliding in with ease. He laid her back down as Sidney stayed up on his hands and began to move inside of her. Karen grabbed a handful of sheets on both sides of her as the feelings began to grow. The tightness of the smaller opening Sidney had to work with brought new feelings for each of them. He leaned down and kissed the back of her neck as he continued to pound into her. Karen soon felt Sidney move off of her and he grabbed her hips getting harder as he continued his assault on her. Before long, Karen reached her peak and turned her head into the mattress, stifling her moans. Sidney came soon after when the tightness around him was too much to take, collapsing on top of her when he was done. He pulled out of her and rolled off of to her side as Karen moved to her side letting Sidney spoon up behind her.

"Well that was interesting to say the least. Why haven't we done that position before?"

"Because you've never tried it."

"I will not make that mistake again."

Karen lightly laughed "is this what you do when you're not thinking about or playing hockey, different positions for us to have sex?"

"Is that wrong?" he said smiling into her head before kissing the top of it.

"Not really."

"Is that a confession that you've been thinking of different ways too?"

"I will never tell."

"As long as you maybe share some of those details every now and again, I'll be happy."

"See that's it, you never know until it happens."

"Well don't wait to long baby" he whispered.

Karen looked at the clock "I have an hour before I need to get up."

"Hmm, what could we do in that hour?" Sidney asked as his hand reached around and cupped her mound, rubbing on her.

"You can continue doing that" she said as her breathing got faster.

Sidney made sure to go between rubbing hard and inserting a couple of fingers inside her core. He could feel the heat exit her body and it turned him on more. He moved her hair from her neck, placing kisses behind her ear "ride me" his whispered with a desperation in his voice. Karen turned her head and captured his lips before moving his hand away and getting up on her knees. She let him move a little more to the middle of the bed before straddling his hips. Karen leaned forward so he could help position himself at her opening as she sat up and came down on him. She let the gasp escape her lips, loving the feeling of Sidney being inside of her. He filled her so perfectly like they were made to fit each other. Karen felt his hands grab her hips and dig his fingers into her as she started to move on him. Karen would slowly rock her hips and continue to get bigger until she was moving up and down on him. She leaned forward, putting her hands over Sidney's pecks getting faster. When she felt she was almost at her peak, Karen slowed down sitting up and went back to rocking her hips with limited movements. She continued both ways until Sidney couldn't take it anymore, flipping them over and pounding as hard as he could until they both came.

"Someone couldn't wait" she said breathlessly.

"Not like you were playing fair baby torturing me like that."

"Call it what you want, but I was just giving you what you asked for."

Sidney looked deep into her eyes "I know and as long as you keep doing that, I will continue to ask for it." He leaned down to kiss her, making it last for a few minutes at least.

"Well, why don't you get some sleep since I need to get up for work."

"Do you have to go?" he said almost whining.

"I'm afraid so stud. Besides, you need some sleep before practice in a few hours and then I will be home to spend the rest of tonight with you."

"Well when you put it that way" Sidney said letting her go "but can I at least join you in the shower?" Karen just smiled and nodded knowing Sidney would be good enough to not start anything so she wouldn't be late. She got up and he followed her to the bathroom. They got in and out without too much fuss and Sidney crawled back into bed as Karen got ready. She gave him a kiss before going downstairs and heading out to work for the day.

Chapter 117

On Sunday, Karen went to Sheril's to watch the game with the girls. She decided to put her own wedding ring on the necklace with Sidney's because she didn't want anyone else to know until Sidney told a few more people like Mario and his agent. She knew the girls would understand if they found out later. Karen pulled up to the house and got out.

"Bout time you got here girl" Sheril said greeting her on the porch.

"Um, we got another hour before the game starts" Karen said walking in "and I am the only one here" not seeing either Natalie or Diane.

"Ok fine. I just want this game to start so we can kick some Flyers ass."

"Someone's been hitting the bottle early."

"Ha ha, I haven't even started yet but the other two will get her soon so I think I will get the drinks going."

Karen just laughed at her friend and sat down waiting for the game to begin. She thought about Sidney and hoped he had a good game today. Soon, Diane and Natalie showed up. They got some food and drinks ready as when the game started they could eat while watching it.

The game got underway and so did the Flyers. They got out to an early lead and made it 2-0 but a late goal in the first, the Pens went into the intermission down 2-1. As the second period started, the Pens scored less than a minute in and tied it up. But that would be it for awhile as the Flyers scored twice putting the Pens down by two again.

"Come on, we need to get going" Sheril said.

"Doesn't seem like the team is all together today" Diane added but noticed how quiet Karen was "you ok Karen?"

"Yeah I'm fine. They can try and come back."

"What if they don't?"

"Then they regroup for Tuesday night and bring it home to close out the series."

"You sound confident there."

"Not much you can do about it when there is still 4 games left in the series. We'll pull it out."

"Sounds like a true hockey player's girlfriend."

"I have confidence in my man, what can I say." They all watched the ending of the game and eventhough the Pens scored another one, the Flyers scored twice and the game ended 6-3 sending the series 2-1 in favor of the Pens. The game Tuesday will surely be another hard fought one. After the game, Karen hung out with the girls until a little later when she went home with Natalie. Since Sidney was gone and Karen had to work, she decided to stay down in Wheeling for the next couple nights until Tuesday.

While they were at Natalie's, Karen got comfortable as Natalie got a shower. As Karen sat on the couch, a cell phone started ringing and she saw it was Natalie's. Karen picked it up and saw the caller ID revealed it was Max. She decided to have some fun and answered it.

"Good evening, you've reach the Pleasure Palace. This is Bambi, how may I service your needs tonight?"

"Um, Nat?"

"I'm sorry but Natalie just got done with a client and she is in the shower at the present time. Is there anything I can help you with?" As she said that, Natalie was coming from her room and Karen put her finger to her lips to tell her not to speak. She put it on speaker phone so they both could hear.

Meanwhile, Max had motion for Sidney to come over to him and he as well put his phone on speaker "well, is Karen available?"

"No sir she's not. She was pulled in for a private party with some of the players from the Pittsburgh Pirates. Can I perhaps make an appointment for you with one of them?"

"Actually, I have a friend and we would like both Natalie and Karen available?"

"And when would you be needing these ladies?"

"Preferably late Tuesday night. Is that alright?"

"I will have to check with the ladies, but they do hold late night sessions for an extra fee."

"Can I ask what they charge?" Karen smiled when she heard Sidney's voice.

"That is up to the individual lady with what service they perform and the price for each service."

"Is there a special rate for celebrity sport stars from the area?"

"Of course. We treat all our local sport heros with the utmost respect. The ladies are available for longer hours at no additional charge. Would you like me to pencil in an appointment for you both?"

"Definitely. I am Max and would like to reserve Natalie as my friend Sidney would love the pleasure of spending time with Karen."

"Alright sir, I have you and your friend scheduled for those two lovely ladies and if there are any conflicts we will be sure to let you know ahead of time. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

"No that will be all for tonight but could you please leave those beautiful ladies a meassage and tell them they will be in for a night they will never forget." Max said with his strong french-canadian accent.

"Sure thing sir and I want to thank you for calling the Pleasure Palace, where your pleasure is always ours. Have a great night." Karen hung up and the girls couldn't contain their laughter.

"I can't believe you did that and how long it went on" Natalie said.

"Can you blame Max for not taking the bait and keep it going? I just didn't think Sidney was anywhere close to him."

"Well if anything, I think we made at least two of them feel better after the game."

"I think we made a lot of them feel better because I think he had his phone on speaker too. How else was Sidney able to join in?"

Before Natalie could respond her phone rang and she smiled showing her it was Max again. She picked up her phone and excused herself into her bedroom, shutting the door. Karen sat back and smiled at how those two were like her and Sidney. And before the thought left her mind, her own cell phone rang.

"Hello my sexy husband."

"Well my beautiful wife, how did you know it was me?"

"I had an idea I would be hearing from you before I turned in for the night. What's going on stud?"

"I just had to call and hear your sweet voice after today."

"Sorry you guys lost. You ok?"

"Yeah, it didn't feel like we were on our game at all. We need to regroup for Tuesday night." Sidney heard Karen giggle "why is that funny?"

"Because I told the girls the same exact thing during the third period. It's scary that we are this insync with each other."

"You're probably right. It's so good to hear your voice baby. It's what I needed all day."

"Hey, you weren't distracted with other thoughts by any chance?"

"Baby stop. What is going on with us from the last couple days is not distracting me. I am the luckiest man on Earth right now."

"Then being married to Sidney Crosby must put me on the luckiest woman list."

"I'm sure that's how the media will put it."

"Let them put me where ever they want as long as I'm with you."

"Well eventhough the preacher didn't state it, but we are stuck with each other through better or worse."

"Mm, sickness and in health."

"Don't forget for richer or poorer."

"Yeah about that...whose who?"

"We are both richer for the love we found in each other baby."

"Nicely played Crosby" she said smiling into the phone.

"What ever is mine is yours Karen, I mean that."

"We'll talk about it later Sid."

"Baby, I know you don't want me to buy you everything you want or deserve but who else can I share my money with if it isn't my wife?"

"As long as you know that the money isn't the reason I am with you or have been with you for the last year. You could break your leg, retire from hockey, and lose all your money in one day and I wouldn't care as long as we were together."

"Good thing I bought the house out right. At least we will always have a roof over our head."

"And a damn fine man in my bed."

"Always and forever baby. I think I am going to let you go and get some sleep for work tomorrow."

"Ok. I love you stud."

"I love you too baby." They hung up and Karen sat there, reaching her hand up and holding onto the rings on her necklace. She put her finger through the holes and closed her eyes remembering putting them on each other's fingers. She smiled through her tears and got up to go to bed.

Chapter 116

"I thought I would stop down and spend some time with you. Are you not happy to see me?"

"Of course I am" he said hugging him "it's just a surprise that your here. Usually you call and let me know when you're coming."

"Well I wanted to surprise you."

Sidney knew that this would be as good as any time to tell him about Karen "dad, why don't we head to one of our rooms. We need to talk about something." Sidney walked towards the elevators with Troy right behind him. They decided to go to Troy's room so they wouldn't disturb the team.

"What's going on Sid? It sounds important."

"It is and there's something you need to know." Sidney took a huge breath "I asked Karen to marry me..."

"Ok, asking her isn't so bad and if she said yes then you can have a long engagement, no harm there with your responsibilities."

"Dad, I asked her last night and she did say yes but we're not having a long engagement..."

"What are you talking about?"

"We got married last night, right at midnight."

"Tell me you are joking with me and you didn't do what you're telling me you did."

"Dad, I love her and this is what we wanted. After a year together, I saw myself with her for the rest of my life. Why can't you understand she balances my life and it's a good thing for me?"

"I understand that you love her, ok but marriage right now is not good Sid. You have the chance to play for the Cup again and this will distract you."

"This will not distract me, damn it dad, when do I get to live my life and do things that feel right to me?"

Troy sat down on the bed and put his head in his hands "Sid you are living your life and your dream, I just want the best for you. You have to know that?"

Sidney sat down beside him "I do know that dad and my whole life you and mom did everything so I can live my dream. I am so appreciative of that but you can't control this part of my life anymore dad. If this is a mistake, I need to find that out on my own but being with her is right."

"Alright Sid, I will back off. I know how much you love her son, I've seen it the few times I've been around you two. You look at her like I look at your mom."

"Then why would you want to take that away from me dad? I have never really been in love with any of my other girlfriends until I met Karen. She loves me for me and that's what I've wanted. I have that now, please don't take it away from me."

"I won't" Troy said hugging him. When they pulled away, Troy noticed his hand "um, if you guys are married why aren't you wearing a ring?"

"I gave it to Karen to wear on a necklace. I didn't want the media to pick up on it until the series is over. Besides, I wanted to tell you first."

"I'm the first one to know?"

"Well, the team knew but out of everyone important, you are."

"I appreciate that son. When were you planning on telling the media because this might not be something you can sit on until the playoffs are over?"

"Let's get through the Flyers first and then we'll talk about it." They continued to talk for another hour before Sidney went to his room to get some sleep for the game tomorrow afternoon. When he got to his room, he changed for bed and then picked up his phone to call Karen.

"Hello" she said answering her phone.

"Hey my wife."

"Mm, hey my husband" she smiled into her phone.

"I miss you like you can't believe."

"Well I miss you too but you'll be home soon."

"Four days is a long time to be away from you baby."

"Um, didn't you go on a 10 day road trip not too long ago?"

"Yeah, but you weren't at home waiting for me so it wasn't so bad."

"Do you want me to go somewhere else so you won't have to miss me so much?"

"You could always come here."

"I could but you know I can't."

"I know. Um, my dad showed up for the games here and I just got done telling him about us getting married."

"How'd it go? Is he mad?"

"He was when I first told him but when we talked a little more, he seems ok with it."

"Really?"

"Yeah. He said that he could see how much we loved each other and that I should be able to live this part of my life."

"So I don't need run and hide next time he's here?"

"No baby" he said laughing "you'll be fine."

"Well I hope you don't mind but I told a couple people today too."

"Who, you're friends?"

"No, Nathalie and Lauren. They invited me for dinner and Lauren just looked at the extra ring on my finger and knew."

"So Mario knows then?"

"I don't think so. He's out of town with Austin and Steph and Nat promised to let you tell him."

"Just me?"

"Ok, both of us if that makes you feel better."

"We'll figure something out when I get home" Sidney looked at the clock "I better get some sleep baby."

"Yeah, since you didn't get a lot last night and I want you ready for the game tomorrow."

"I'll be ready baby. I love you."

"I love you too. Good luck tomorrow."

"Thanks and I will talk to you after the game."

"Ok, night stud."

"Night baby." They hung up and Sidney put his phone on the nightstand, smiling before closing his eyes to fall asleep.

Chapter 115

They got to the bedroom and Sidney put her down in front of him "it's already past 2am Sid, you are going to be tired for the trip to Philly not to mention practice."

"So I'll sleep on the bus or plane, however they get us there. As long as I am ready for the game Sunday afternoon, I will keep you up until the sun rises."

"As much as I love the sound of that, I love falling asleep in your arms and waking up there in the morning better."

"I can make that wish come true too baby."

Sidney brought her closer to him and kissed her. Hands began to undress the clothes that hid where they wanted to be. Karen broke the kiss as Sidney brought the jersey up over her head. Once his jacket, tie and shirt was discarded, Karen worked on his belt. Sidney smiled at her slight eagerness but he had a sense of it as well. Pretty soon, all the clothes had been thrown to the floor and they stood there completely naked, holding each other as their lips met. Sidney picked Karen up, putting her on the bed. He laid down on top of her, looking into her eyes with all the love and passion he held for her. Sidney moved his hand inbetween them and spread Karen's legs apart for him to fit. He loved how instictively Karen would bend her leg and wrap it around one of his thighs. Sidney couldn't wait and dove himself into her heated core. He let out a gasp when he felt how wet she was for him, making it easy to slid all the way inside of her. Karen brought her hand up to caress his cheek as their eyes locked. Sidney turned his head to kiss the palm of her hand before going for her lips. The kiss heated up as Sidney began to move his hips and pump into her. Karen let her moans escape in their kiss as he built up the sensations within her body. Sidney didn't want to rush this and he didn't. He made sure every thrust lasted and hit the right spot. Karen rubbed her hands over his back, stopping to dig her nails into the skin everytime he hit her sweet spot. She could sense that tonight was different between them and it was. It was filled with passion and heat but it was sensual and loving like it was their first time together. Sidney continued pounding into her, getting harder to bring her over the edge. After a few more thrusts, Karen let go of his lips as the moans filled the room. Sidney followed by coming hard inside of her and letting his own moans join hers. He let his head fall to her neck, nuzzling the area as he finished filling her up. Karen wrapped her arms around his sweaty body, holding him closer to her until they both fell asleep.

A couple hours later, Karen had woken up and looked at Sidney beside her. She remembered last night and thought it was a dream until she looked down at her hand and saw the wedding band with her now apparent engagement ring. Karen found Sidney's arm acrossed her stomach and saw the same exact wedding band on his finger. She smiled to herself and knew she didn't want anything more. Karen saw it was a little after 8a and quietly got up, grabbing Sidney's shirt off the floor and buttoning it up as she left the room. She figured she could make him breakfast in bed, that is if he could stay in bed while she made it.

Twenty minutes later, Karen had breakfast done and was bringing it upstairs. When she walked in, Sidney was lying on his back with some of the sheet covering him from the waist down. He looked at her and smiled.

"Morning my beautiful wife."

"Morning my sexy husband."

Karen walked around to her side of the bed and put the tray down in front of her.

"I could get used to this" Sidney said kissing her neck.

"If you want breakfast at 2:30a then ok, but it goes both ways stud."

"I know it does. Happy Anniversary."

Karen smiled at him "Happy Anniversary" she said kissing him before they ate their breakfast. When they were done, Sidney kissed her and headed to get his shower. He needed to go to the arena for their morning practice and then heading to Philly after that. Karen felt sad that they couldn't spend at least one day together...especially after last night. She took the tray downstairs and to get things clean up.

As Sidney was in the shower, he thought about leaving Karen and felt a twinge of saddness himself. He wished they at least had the day together and not just an hour. He finished his shower and got out, drying himself off. He stopped when he saw his wedding ring and smiled remembering last night, which makes leaving Karen so much more harder. Sidney wrapped the towel around his waist and went looking for something before getting dressed.

Karen finished getting the kitchen cleaned up when she heard Sidney come downstairs. She walked into the hallway as he put his bag down. He took her hand and led her to the living room, sitting down on the couch.

"Baby, I need to do something and I need you to really be ok with it."

"You want a divorce already?"

"Never" he smiled "I want you to wear this" he said holding up his wedding ring on a necklace. "You were right about if the media catches wind of this before I let my parents and anyone else of importance know and I don't want the distraction right now." Karen sat there trying not to smile but couldn't help it "are you going to say 'I told you so' now?"

"No, I'll just sit here and think it. I understand why and I will wear it where I have you, close to my heart."

Sidney put the necklace on her "I need to get going."

"Well let me walk my husband out to his car then."

"I wouldn't want anyone other than my wife to do that" he said getting up and helping her up. Sidney grabbed his bag and they walked out to his car. "I'll call you after I get settled at the hotel."

"Ok and I will be watching tomorrow as you get one game closer to finishing this series."

"What if they come back and win a game?"

"Then you will come back home and close it out in front of me and all your fans."

"I just wanted to hear you say you want me back."

"At what point did I ever say that I didn't want you back? Because it would never be true stud."

"I think we made the right choice last night."

"Me too and when you tell your dad, I will just be a phone call away for you to tell me how it went."

"Nice baby. It's a good thing that I love you."

"Well I love you too. I'll talk to you tonight." Karen leaned up and kissed him goodbye. Sidney let her go and got in his car as she watched him drive away. She held onto his ring and closed her eyes, smiling at her life.

A little while later, the team was getting ready to head out and Sidney had asked the guys to not let it slip to the media about him and Karen getting married. They all understood and agreed to make like it didn't happen.

While Karen was at home planning her day, the phone rang and she got up to answer it.

"Hello."

"Hi Karen, it's Nathalie. How are you dear?"

"I'm good. How are you?"

"Great as always. Listen, the reason I'm calling is that since Mario is away with Austin and Stephanie and Alexa is at a friend's house tonight, Lauren and I were wondering if you would like to join us for dinner tonight?"

"I would love it. What time do you need me to come over?"

"How's 6p sound?"

"Sounds wonderful. I will see you guys then." They said goodbye and hung up. Karen hadn't seen any of the Lemieuxs for awhile since Sidney moved out of Mario's house and couldn't wait to see Lauren and Nathalie.

As time neared, Karen walked up to the house and knocked on the door being greeted by Lauren. She let out a squeal and hugged her. Soon Nathalie came up from behind and hugged her as well.

"It has been too long seeing you. How's everything?"

"Everything is great actually. I'm sorry for not coming up to visit."

"It's ok Kiki we figured once Sidney moved in with you, he'd want to keep you all to yourself" Lauren said.

"Well we he gets back from Philly we will just have to tell him that we need to come visit more often."

"Good. Dinner is ready so why don't we head to the kitchen and eat." The three of them go into the kitchen and sat down to eat. "How's work going?"

"It's good. I think they might be getting fed up with me using up vacation days to spend time with Sidney."

"What do you mean?"

"I've been using up some vacation days to surprise Sid on the road or taking an extra day from the weekend. But it's not my fault to use them up. The company changed its policy that we can only house up to 80 hours and I had over 300. If I don't use them, I lose them."

"Then they shouldn't have a problem with wanting to spend time with him, especially now that you married him" Lauren said that made Karen drop her fork.

"What?" she said looking at her.

"Lauren, where would you get that idea from?" her mom asked.

"Duh mom, look at her hand. That is a wedding ring with her diamond ring. Anyone can put that together, just look at your wedding rings and then look at hers. Kind of look the same to me."

"Karen? Did you and Sidney get married?" Nathalie asked.

"Yeah we did" she said smiling "last night actually."

"WHAT?" Nathalie and Lauren both screamed in excitement.

"He surprised me after the game last night. We stayed around the arena, went skating around the ice and at midnight asked me to marry him."

"You're kidding me?"

"Nope, he had a preacher, the rings and a marriage license all ready. I couldn't say no after he went to all that trouble."

"I don't think you would have said no anyway."

"Lauren, behave."

"It's ok Nat, she's right. The longer I stayed with him I kept thinking about wanting to be married to him but I wasn't sure if it would ever happen. Today is our year anniversary and I guess I needed to see a real committment from him."

"I guess he showed you huh?" Lauren said.

"He did just that baby girl" Karen laughed.

"Well from the way Sidney talked about you when you two were dating, I knew something was going to happen between you guys. Who all knows?"

"The entire team and now you two."

"He hasn't said anything to his dad yet?"

"Nope and I don't want to be around when that happens."

"I don't blame you sweetie."

"I told Sid that he needed to tell his parents and at least Mario before it hopefully gets out in the media."

"So we can't tell anyone huh?" Lauren asked.

"Not right now ok?"

"Ok. Are you guys still going to live down the street?"

"For a little while."

"What does that mean?" Nathalie asked confused.

"Sidney bought us a house. After what happened at the arena, we went to Dana's house for a surprise celebration he planned. Well apparently, he bought Dana's house from him for us."

"I knew Dana was looking for a new house, never thought Sidney would buy it."

"Neither did I. That man just keeps surprising me."

"It's because he loves you" Lauren said getting up and putting her plate in the sink. Karen sat there and smiled knowing in fact that Sidney did love her.

Meanwhile in Philadelphia...the guys were coming back from dinner when Sidney saw a familiar face in the lobby.

"Dad? What are you doing here?"

Chapter 114

“So whose house are we at anyway?”

“Dana Heinze’s, our equipment manager, he’s around here somewhere. Would you like a tour?”

“Actually I would if it’s not to late.”

“Let me go find him.” Sidney kissed her and went to find Dana. A few minutes later, they both came back and Sidney let him show her the house alone.

They started to walk around and he suggested going upstairs first. Dana showed her every room and saved the best for last.

“And here is the master bedroom.”

“Are you kidding me? This room is beautiful Dana.” Karen looked around at all the space. There was a king size bed against the wall beside the French doors. Two chaise loungers were up against the wall facing the plasma TV on the wall that was proportioned between them and the bed.

“Wait until you see the bathroom.” Dana walked ahead and opened the door revealing a room half the size of the bedroom. “We put in a new garden tub with jets and redid the sink to make it for two. My wife loves her space in the bathroom.”

“Well what woman doesn’t? Especially…oh my god, two private toilets?”

“Yeah you could probably understand why. Another of my wife’s ideas, separate sinks and separate toilets.”

“I am beginning to like her way of thinking. Your house is incredible Dana.”

“Thanks. Why don’t we head back downstairs and let you see what’s all there?”

“Sounds good.”

They went back down and walked through each of the rooms. She saw all the guys having fun and her eyes scanned the crowd for Sidney. When she found him, she just watched him laughing and it made what they did fit even more perfectly.

Time passed and everyone started to clear out. Sidney and Karen stayed around for awhile longer before heading out.

“So what do you think of the house?”

“It’s beautiful.”

Sidney saw the look in her eyes and smiled. He pulled her close and whispered in her ear “Then welcome home baby.”

Karen turned around shocked “what? What do you mean welcome home?”

“Dana was talking about selling the house and since we started looking and not finding anything, I followed him home one day after practice while you were at work and when I fell in love with it, I knew you would too.”

“But I thought we would look and agree together?”

“Well you are agreeing with me, I just happened to buy it first. Are you mad?”

Karen looked around the house before fixing her sight back on to Sidney “no, I’m not mad. This feels right, this feels like home.”

“I have to agree to that. Plus, I told Dana that he and his family could take their time moving. I figured with the playoffs just starting and it would take a few months for you to redecorate, we could be ready to move in before the season starts next year.”

“Have you thought of everything?”

“Not everything. I’ve left a lot for you to do.”

“I love you.”

“I love you too. Let’s go home baby.”

They bid Dana goodnight and Sidney took Karen home. They got out of the car and he told her to wait on the porch for a minute until he came back for her. After a few minutes, Sidney opened the door and picked her up, carrying her inside. He put her down by the living room and her eyes widened by what she saw.

“Oh my god” she said looking at the room filled with candlelight and roses everywhere. “Sidney…”

“I guess by the look on your face that you’re impressed.”

“It’s beautiful. How did you pull all this off? This had to take longer than the few minutes I was outside.”

“Max, Flower and a few others got everything set up and all I had to do was light the candles.”

“Remind me to thank them.”

“How about if you just thank me instead” he said pulling her closer to him. “I don’t think I could be any happier than I am right now.”

“I know what you mean. I didn’t think love would be possible for us but you changed that.”

“I think we both changed that. All my life was nothing but hockey, hockey and more hockey but you made me realize that the perfect woman and great love can fit in there too.”

“I am far from perfect Sid.”

“To me, you’re perfect and I love you.”

“I love you too.” Sidney took her hand and led her to the couch. They sat down wrapped up with each other, holding hands. Karen played with Sidney’s ring as she held his hand “are you really going to wear your ring?”

“Of course, well except for when I’m playing but yeah, I plan to wear it. Why, do you not want me to wear it?”

“It’s not that Sid, but don’t you think you need to tell your parents and maybe Mario first instead of letting the media get ahold of it during the playoffs to cause a distraction for you?”

“Maybe we should tell them.”

Karen smiled before looking at him “what do you mean we? I’m just a bystander in all this.”

“You have got to be kidding me baby. WE are in this together.”

“I know but sorry, I will not be in the same room when you tell your dad.”

“Baby, you need to be there with me…he won’t kill me with you standing in front of me.”

“Sorry, you’re on your own stud” she said seriously until she cracked a smile.

“Very funny baby” Sidney got up and picked Karen up, putting her over his shoulder and carrying her upstairs “you want fun, I will show you fun.”

Chapter 113

Karen pulled back in shock “what?”

“I don’t want to wait to marry you, I want us to get married right now, right here on center ice…tonight.”

“Sid, it’s after midnight.”

“Exactly, Happy Anniversary baby.”

Karen smiled “Happy Anniversary stud, but how is this possible? We don’t have a marriage license or anything else to go with it.”

“Actually we do.” Sidney skated over to the bench and pulled a piece of paper out, skating back to her “I got one on Monday.”

“Were you so sure I would say yes?”

“No, hoping was more like it. Stay here for a minute.” He skated over to the door that led to the locker room and brought out the carpet. He brought it over to her and laid it down on the ice. Soon, a man walked out towards them. Karen realized it was a preacher in plain clothes to not draw attention to anyone. Sidney stood back in front of Karen and held her hands “well?”

Karen looked from Sidney to the preacher and back to Sidney. “Your parents are going to kill you if they find out about this.”

“I’ll deal with them when the time comes. Whether we get married next month, next year, five years from now or today the thing of it is…I want to marry you. I love you baby, let’s get married tonight.”

Words couldn’t form and all Karen could do was smile and nod her head yes.

The preacher began a simple ceremony as Sidney and Karen stood looking into each other’s eyes. Since they pretty much professed their feelings to each other, there was really nothing more they could say.

“Do you have the rings?”

“Yes” Sidney said to the confusion of Karen as he pulled them out of his pocket and handed them to the preacher.

“Ok, wait. You got rings too?”

“Kind of, but it’s not like you can’t get married and not wear a ring.”

“I can’t believe all this” Karen said with disbelief.

“Sidney” the preacher continued “place this ring on Karen’s finger and repeat after me…with this ring, I thee wed.” He repeated the words and slipped the ring on her finger. “Karen, place this ring on Sidney’s finger and repeat after me…with this ring I thee wed.” Karen picked up the ring and smiled at Sidney as she put it on his finger and said the same words.

“Sidney, do you take Karen to be your wife?”

“I do” he said then smiled.

“Karen, do you take Sidney to be your husband?”

“I do” she said as the tears ran down her cheeks.

“Then by the powers vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride.”

Sidney put his hand to her cheek as he leaned in and kissed her. Knowing the audience in front of them, they kept the kiss as sweet and innocent as they could. After they broke apart, they thanked the preacher and Sidney escorted him off the ice before skating back over to Karen.

“What just happened here?” she asked still somewhat confused.

Sidney wrapped his arms around her “I believe we just got married Mrs. Crosby.”

Karen smiled as she thought about it “I kind of like the sound to that Mr. Crosby.”

“Good. Why don’t we get our skates off and head out?” Sidney took her hand in his as they skated off the ice and went to the locker room. A few minutes later, they were leaving the arena and headed out.

“Do I get a hint to where we’re going?”

“We are going to have something to eat and celebrate a little.”

“It’s late Sid.”

“I know a place that will work at this hour.” Karen just smiled at him as Sidney continued driving. On the short drive to a house Karen didn’t know, Sidney had never let go of her hand. He parked the car and as they headed up to the house, Sidney opened the door and it was completely dark.

“Ok, so what’s going on?” she whispered.

Sidney kissed her before turning on the lights to reveal a houseful of players “SURPRISE.”

Karen couldn’t contain her smile looking at the entire Penguins team “they all knew?” she said turning to Sidney.

“Well most of them knew what I was planning, some knew a couple days ago, and then there are a few that just found out” Sidney said pointing to the likes of Jordan and Geno. Just then Max came running over and scooped up Karen, hugging her.

“Congratulations you guys” he said smiling as he put her down. “I knew you wouldn’t be able to say no to this guy.”

“He does have a charming side that makes you want to come back for more.”

Max pinched Sidney’s cheeks “be good to her man or you’ll have me and about 20 other guys to answer to.”

“Don’t worry I don’t plan on letting her go…ever.”

“Well you are going to let me go considering I have a couple people to talk to” she said giving him a kiss and walking over to Jordan and Geno. “Ok guys, what’s with these looks I keep getting from you two?”

“You married him? What about us?” Jordan said pouting.

“I didn’t know there was an us Jordan. You know if you were a little clearer about that there could have been an us.”

“Really?” Jordan said with a glimmer of hope.

“Not a chance Staalsy” Sidney said as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

“You are such a tease Karen.”

“One reason why I married her” he said.

“Nice Crosby” Karen said giving him a look.

“You Ok Geno?” Sidney asked his friend.

“Yeah. I’m happy for you guys. Besides, I’ve never hit on a married woman before.”

“And you better not start with this one.”

“Wow, we’ve been married for a matter of minutes and you are already being protective.”

“Well get used to it because it will happen a lot” Sidney said turning her around to face him as their lips came together in a searing kiss.

“I think I’m going over there, this is a little to lovey dovey for me” Jordan said walking away as Geno followed.

“They seriously can’t be mad about this.”

“I don’t think they are, but I will talk to them later.” Karen just smiled at him while bringing him down for another kiss to the cheers of the crowd.

Chapter 112

The game got under way and unexpectedly, Philly scored first. Karen didn't like how this was going and wondered if they would come back to even the series. There was a difference to this team from Wednesday night and the crowd saw that. But after the second period when it was tied, there seem to be life back into the Pens. The third brought goals by both teams and as the clock ticked down, they were headed into overtime. The crowd of 17,000+ stayed until it happened....Bill Guerin scored in overtime when the Pens had a 5-on-3 power play with less than 2 minutes to go. The arena erupted loudly knowing what it meant to send their team into Philadelphia with a 2-0 lead.

After the game, Karen left the girls and headed to the lounge to wait for Sidney. They wanted to go and celebrate, but all Karen wanted was to celebrate alone with Sidney. When he got done with the media, he came and sat beside her. They sat there for a while and a lot of the guys have come and gone. Karen wasn’t sure why they were still sitting there.

“I hope you’re not waiting around for everyone to leave so I can join you in the shower because I took one before coming to the game and I’m not that dirty yet” she said smiling at him.

“That’s not why I’m waiting around, but I should go get my shower. Will you be here when I get back?”

“Unless I get another offer before you come out, then yes I’ll be here.”

Sidney kissed her “you’ll be here considering Geno and Jordan are already gone.” He got up and headed to the showers. Karen sat back on the couch and got comfortable waiting until he got done. About twenty minutes later, Sidney came out but was dressed in a t-shirt and a pair of track pants.

“That’s not what you wore to the arena tonight.”

“I know” Sidney said holding up a pair of skates “care to take a spin around the ice with me?”

Karen couldn’t stifle the giggle that left her lips “didn’t you just get off the ice like an hour ago?”

“Yeah, but that was work…this is for fun. Skate with me?”

“I’d love to.” Karen took the skates from him and put them on while Sidney got his back on. They headed to the ice and Sidney went over to the bench, turning on a cd player. She realized song after song they had a similarity with them. They were all love songs. It was like he tried to find the right one for them and couldn’t settle on one.

After an hour of skating and playing around, Sidney brought Karen to center ice. They stood there for a minute looking at each other before he spoke.

“Baby we’ve been together for a year well if you minus the few weeks that we were apart and believe me, those were the hardest weeks I never want to live again. I never thought I would be able to live my dream playing hockey every day of my life, but the day you walked into this building and on to this ice surface that dream changed. I had a new dream and it included wanting to spend my life with you. You changed my world and turned it upside down.” Sidney brought his hand up and wiped the tears from Karen’s cheek “I never thought I could find a woman that would fit into my life as perfectly as you have and…” he got down on one knee and held her hand “…I wanted to know if you would continue to spend the rest of your life with me. Marry me?”

Karen took her eyes off of Sidney’s and closed them, letting the tears fall freely. She took her free hand and wiped the tears before looking back into his eyes “Sid, I…”

Before she could finish, Sidney stood back up “I kind of knew you would probably say no and it’s not going to change how I feel about you and wanting to be with you.”

“Sid…”

“I know you’ve had dreams of marriage before and when it didn’t work out, you kind of geared your life away from the possibilities, but I am not him. Living with you before this is what sealed my destiny with you. If we can do it being boyfriend and girlfriend, nothing more will change if we continued on as husband and wife.”

“Sid…”

“I guess I just don’t want to hear the word no come from your mouth and that’s why I keep babbling. I love you and I want to be with you forev…”

Karen put her hand to Sidney’s lips to stop him from talking. When she took her hand away, Sidney got a feeling in the pit of his stomach and wasn’t sure what she was going to say until she spoke the words.

“First of all, I love you too. When I came in here to play around with my friends I never thought I would have found you. My life feels like a fairy tale most days and I need to pinch myself every now and again to make sure I’m not dreaming and that you are standing in front of me, kissing me. Holding me on the couch or in bed, sitting and not having to say a word to each other to know what the other is thinking. My days are complete when I get to come home and be with you.” Karen couldn’t stop the tears from falling “You brought love back into my life when I thought all hope was gone and I want nothing more then to spend the rest of my life with you. My answer’s yes, I want to marry you Sidney.”

Sidney couldn’t contain himself and he picked her up, spinning them around. After a minute, he set her down and their lips met in a passionate kiss.

“Marry me tonight” he whispered as he broke the kiss.

Chapter 111

On the way to Marc's, Sidney stopped off at a couple houses for them to look at. Karen was impressed with one of them and they both agreed they didn't like the other. They headed to the final one and went inside for the Open House. They talked to the realtor and found out about the house and the previous owners. Karen wandered off on her own to get her own feel of the house. It seemed the guy knew of Sidney and was trying to 'put on the charm' to him. Karen hated being around people like that and Sidney was being a good sport about it. After a few minutes, he found Karen upstairs in one of the bedrooms.

"Here you are, I thought you snuck out on me" Sidney said wrapping his arms around her.

"Not a chance stud. Hate to break it to you, but you're stuck with me."

"Only way I want it" he said kissing her head "so what do you think?"

"Well the realtor is a pompous jerk."

"Besides that, what about the house."

"The house is beautiful and there is lots of space" she said with little excitement.

"You don't like it?"

Karen turned around to look at him "it's not that I don't like it, it's too big for us. What are we going to do with all this space? You plan on having the team over for weekly sleepovers?"

"I know a few who wouldn't mind that but we need the extra bedrooms for when my family comes to visit or when your friends need a place to crash after a home game on the weekends."

"Your parents and Taylor would require two bedrooms as the same with my friends. Natalie will always stay with Max so that is a total of three bedrooms we need and there are 6 of them. Even if one room turned into the 'Sidney Crosby Hall of Fame' we still end up with two extras. Do you really need all this?"

"I can live in a one room shack as long as we're together. But if you say it's to big then we'll keep looking."

"See, now you're making me feel bad because you want all this and simple ol' me doesn't need it all. Besides, I'm the one who has to clean it all."

"You won't be the only one to clean up the new house baby and you're not making me feel bad. Can we at least keep it as an option so if we don't find anything, this could be a contender?"

"It is beautiful and everything, but I want to keep looking ok?"

"Ok, come on we need to get to Marc's" he said kissing her then heading downstairs. Karen walked outside as Sidney finished talking to the guy. When he headed out, they got in the car and left. He told Karen what the guy said and she just shook her head. They soon pulled into the driveway and got out, going up to the door. Sidney knocked and then walked in with Karen in tow.

"Hey Sid glad you came over and brought this beautiful woman with you. Karen, it's nice to see you again and welcome to my house" Marc told them as he greeted them walking in.

"Thanks for the invite."

"Well I couldn't only invite Sid here besides, Vero wold have killed me."

"No I wouldn't have, quit telling lies Marc." Karen laughed when she yelled at him in french and Marc just came back with a 'yes dear'. They all headed into the living room where the tv was on golf but they would flip back and forth. "Karen, could you help me get some lunch ready?"

"Sure, I'd love to." Karen got up but was pulled back so Sidney could give her a kiss before she left.

"Man, you've got it bad for her. Vero and I have been together forever and I've stopped doing that years ago."

"Then I guess you need to bring it back Flower because what comes with that can be mind blowing."

"I don't need the details Sid" he said making them both laugh "you have everything ready for Saturday?"

"It will all be taken care of tomorrow and she doesn't suspect a thing" Sidney smiled while looking into the kitchen and directly at Karen.

Meanwhile in the kitchen...

"I'm glad you came over with Sidney today. We never really got to know each other since you've started dating him."

"I know. I don't mean to exclude myself from the significant others group of the team."

"It's ok really. Most days I wouldn't mind sitting admist the fans. Don't get me wrong, the other wives and girlfriends are as sweet as can be, but I envy you."

"How can you envy me when you don't really know me?"

"I envy who you are. You break all the normal rules to being a hockey player's girlfriend. I envy it because I ddn't want to turn into her. You've been with Sid for almost a year and haven't given in yet."

"That's probably because I'm stubborn. No matter how much I want to be with Sid and love him, I can't lose myself for him and when I start to do that, it goes downhill from there."

"You're good for him so I hope it doesn't happen. He needs you in his life and from what I've heard, its a big deal."

"What do you mean he needs me in his life?"

"You've obviously met his dad and seen how controlling he can be. When Sid's been over her before, some times he goes on and on about his dad and you can tell he had been pushing commitments on him. Now when he's been over, he talks about nothing but you. You make all the pressures from his dad and agent and everyone that wants a piece of him go away."

"You are one intuitive woman."

"I know" Vero said before they headed back into the living room with sandwiches. They continued to watch the game as they ate and was happy when the Caps beat the Flyers to give the Pens home ice advantage. Sidney and Karen stayed around for another hour before they left to head home.

The next three days went by rather quickly and it was time for game 1 in the series against the Flyers. Sidney had gotten everything ready for his anniversary surprise for Karen. He had to rearrange the plans to make them fit with their schedule. Since they played in Pittsburgh Wednesday and Friday night, it meant they would be travelling to Philadelphia sometime on Saturday and only get to spend a few hours together. Sidney was ready to head to the arena and Karen walked him to his car.

"You sure you won't change your mind and go in with me?" Sidney asked holding her.

"I'm sure. Maybe after the series gets going but at least for tonight, you need to concentrate on the game."

"Have you not learned yet that you do not distract me?"

"I think I do, you're just beng nice and not telling me otherwise."

"The only way you could distract me is if you came to the arena naked."

"See now if you could control yourself, maybe I could distract the other team that way."

"We might have to think that through as the series goes on."

"Yeah you do that" Karen said smiling "good luck tonight and I will definitely be cheering for you."

"I can't wait" Sidney leaned in and kissed her "let me know when you get to the arena?"

"Always. I love you."

"I love you too" he said kissing her again before getting into his car and driving off. Karen watched as he drove off and waited for her friends to come get her.

A couple hours later, they picked her up and headed to the arena. When they got inside and got to their seats, Karen sent Sidney a text telling him she was there. The game got underway and as everyone expected, it was indeed a phyiscal game. Sidney got the scoring started and the Pens came out on top 4-1. The girls took Karen home since she knew being the playoffs, Sidney's media obligations would keep him there longer but with needing to work in the morning, she wouldn't be able to wait up for him. She sent a text telling him goodnight and went to bed. A half hour later, Sidney was leaving the arena. He got her text about going to bed and hated when she couldn't stay with him after a game. That was the one thing that he wanted to change in their relationship with her not working but knew he had to play with what he got. When he got home, he was tired enough and went straight upstairs. Sidney quietly changed and slid into bed, smiling when Karen curled up to him.

"Mm, great game stud" she said sleepily.

"Thanks baby, go back to sleep" he said holding on to her until he fell asleep as well.

Thursday came and gone and it was Friday night which meant it was game 2 with the Flyers. Karen came home from work excited that it was a hockey night but it was also a chance to go in with Sidney and spend some time before the game.

"Baby, you got a letter from the organization today. Any idea what it is?"

"Um, yeah. I decided to not renew my season tickets after next season."

"You don't want them for the first year the new arena opens?"

"I got a better deal."

"Ok, what's going on?"

"Well you know I have some money to play with...I bought one of the suites in the new arena."

"What?" he said shocked.

"I liked what I saw when they talked about it a few days ago and wanted to try something new that year."

"I can't let you do that Karen."

"What do you mean, you can't let me do it? It's done and I have a suite reserved. I will get my choice to which one I want since I reserved it early enough before the season starts."

"I can't let you do that because I was going to see if you wanted one and get it for you. It figures you would be stubborn and go behind my back to buy one yourself" he said smiling.

"Well it's not only mine. Natalie and Sheril put in some money for it to, I just put in the bulk of it which it does technically make it mine. Why would you want to buy me one?"

"Because I love you."

Karen laughed "nice try Crosby, why?"

"I wanted you to have the best seat in the arena and they way they figured the suites would be, you would have the best."

"Sid, you have to let me do some things in this relationship and if it means spending a lot more money to watch you play hockey, then it'll be well worth it."

"I get what you're saying baby. Why don't you come and take a nap with me?"

"I wouldn't want it any other way." They headed upstairs so Sidney could get his pre-game nap in. Karen really wasn't as tired but loved just holding on to him. She thought about Saturday and their anniversary. She felt bad that she didn't know if he either remembered or if he got her anything but Karen knew she had nothing for him. She was going to make him a romantic dinner but with the series shifting to Philadelphia for an afternoon game on Sunday, they would leave before dinner time tomorrow. Actually, she didn't know what to get him and hoped he wouldn't be mad if she didn't.

A while later, they got up and ate dinner before going to the arena. Karen sat around the lounge talking with a few guys until her friends showed up. Sidney walked her out, letting the kiss linger for a little longer than it should.

"Hey Karen, could you maybe let us have Sid back. We would like for him to play tonight."

"But I want to play with him too Staalsy."

"I'm sure you do and as much as I would love a mental picture of that, he needs to get ready like the rest of us."

"Ok dad, I'll be there in a minute" Sidney yelled back to get Karen laughing.

"Good luck tonight and I will see you after."

"I hope so because after the game will definitely be a night you and I will never forget" he said kissing her again then leaving her in the hallway wondering what he meant. Karen shook her head and went to meet up with her friends to watch the game.

Chapter 110

While Sidney was in Montreal for the last game in the regular season, Karen was at home with the girls settling in to watch the game.

"Where do you guys think the Pens will end up?" Sheril asked the group.

"They'll get home ice" Karen said confidently.

"You're only saying that because you want him home longer" Natalie added.

"Oh, and you don't want to spend a few days with Max?"

"I never said I didn't want that too."

"Ya'll are just like them" Diane said "I'm beginning to think Sheril and I are the only sane ones for marrying regular guys."

"I'm sorry but the word sane and Sheril should NEVER be used in a sentence together."

"Shut your pie hole Kiki" Sheril retorted throwing popcorn at her "I am the most sane one here."

"That is true, Steve is the one that brings the insanity to the family. I just feel sorry for the kids."

"Yeah me too" Sheril said making everyone laugh.

"So Karen, does Sid have anything planned for your anniversary next weekend?"

"I have no idea. I don't even think he remembered since he hasn't said anything about it."

"Well let's hope they get home ice because then you'll have to wait until they come home to celebrate."

"I'm sure they'll celebrate before AND after the actual day."

"Wouldn't you if you had that man in your bed every night?" Diane asked out loud.

"I don't think I need the peanut gallery to answer that" Karen said pointing at Sheril.

"Fine, I will just keep all thoughts of sexy Sid in my head and fantasize all I want."

"Still ain't the real thing honey" Karen said gloating.

"Ok, stop rubbing it in." They all laughed and turned their attention to the tv as the game began.

Meanwhile in Montreal, the game ended and the Pens won 3-1. They were sitting pretty in 5th spot but Sunday's game would determine their fate. After the guys got done at the arena, they boarded the bus and headed to the airport. Once they got settled, Sidney decided to seek some advice for his anniversary surprise with Karen.

"So, do you think it'll work Max?"

"Yeah it will definitely work, especially if we get home ice and the schedule favors it to happen. Do you have everything ready though?"

"I'll take care of all that Monday while she's at work and then the final arrangements the day of. I just want it to go right Max."

"You love her and she obviously loves you, why do you keep second guessing this?"

Sidney looked at his friend "because I don't want to lose her."

"I think it'll go exactly how you want it to Sid" Max said to reassure him. Sidney smiled at Max and thanked him before heading back to his seat. As he sat there, Sidney could literally picture his anniversary surprise for Karen and it going perfectly for both of them.

Later that night, Karen had said goodnight to her friends and decided to wait up for Sidney to get home. She was tired enough to go to bed, but as she sat and watched the fire going she thought about Saturday. Not so much as their anniversary, but to when they met. She wondered where her life would be if Sidney and the others weren't on the ice that day, but she was definitely happy he was. Karen smiled as she remembered the look on his face when she got past him and scored. Soon enough, she heard a car door slam and she waited for him to walk in.

Sidney opened the door and saw a flickering light in the living room. As he turned the corner his smile got bigger when he saw Karen sitting on the couch, looking in his direction. "Why are you still up baby? It's late."

"You know me, I am night owl forced to work in the daytime. Besides, I knew you'd be home tonight."

"I'm glad we came home tonight too" he said sitting down beside her "I kind of like it when you wait up for me."

"I think you like waking me up better though."

"There are some perks to that also."

"Sorry if I spoiled it."

"You could never spoil anything for me."

"Great game tonight."

"Thanks baby but now we just need to see what happens tomorrow."

"You'll get home ice, don't worry."

"I never do baby" he said placing a kiss to her lips "how about we head to bed?"

"I've been waiting all night for you to ask me that" she said running her hand through the back of his hair. Sidney pulled her in for another kiss. He got up and put the fire out as Karen stood by and waited for him. He walked over to her and took her hand, leading her upstairs.

Sunday morning, Sidney woke up to Karen not in bed. He smelled food in the air and realized she was making breakfast. He got up and headed to the bathroom before going downstairs to see her. As Sidney got to the bottom of the steps, he heard music playing. When he got to the kitchen, he stood at the doorway and watched Karen dance around and singing to the radio as she made pancakes.

"I don't know if i'll have an appetite if you keep going baby."

Karen turned around eyeing Sidney from head to toe and noticing he was only in a pair of shorts "not like you don't make my mind wander when you walk around like that."

"Now see, I meant to do this."

"Then I meant for you to walk in on me doing this."

"We may need to put breakfast on hold for a few minutes" he said walking over to her and turning off the electric griddle.

"I am not going to want to eat cold pancakes stud."

Sidney brought her over to the table and set her up on it, whispering in her ear "I'll make you more."

"Well in that case, continue on stud."

Sidney picked up the syrup and spilled some on her thigh "oops, look what I did" he said putting the bottle down.

Karen watched it start to slowly move towards her inner thigh "well you better clean that up."

"Don't worry, I plan to." Sidney leaned over and stuck out his tongue, licking the sticky substance very slowly. Karen had to bite her lip to keep the moan from coming out but the sensations he was stirring inside of her was overwhelming. After he got all the syrup off, Sidney stood up and went for her neck. He scooted her closer to his body and Karen could feel him get harder as the minutes went by.

"Um, maybe now is the time to tell you that I am re-establishing the 'no sex rule' during the playoffs."

"Excuse me" Sidney said muffled into her neck before he looked at her "you're doing what?"

"Just like last year, we stopped having sex so you could concentrate in the playoffs. Well, you don't need any distractions so we shouldn't have sex until after the playoffs."

"If I remember correctly, you stopped it for the final round. The playoffs haven't even begun yet."

"Well then there's nothing to distract your focus on all the practice before round one starts."

"Please tell me you are not serious about this."

Karen looked into his eyes as serious as she could "I'm not." As soon as she said it, a smiled form on her lips "gotcha stud."

"That was not right baby" Sidney said backing away from her.

"I'm sorry but I couldn't resist" she said reaching out for the band of his shorts and pulling him back to her.

"The moment's lost now" he said removing her hand.

Karen wrapped her legs around his waist "doesn't feel like you've lost anything stud" she said feeling his erection starting to grow "I think we need to take care of this." Karen leaned in to kiss him, but Sidney turned his head. She smiled and went right for hs neck as her legs tightened their grip. "You know you want to give in" she whispered.

Sidney turned to face her but instead of saying what he wanted, he kissed her as hard as he could. Karen started to take his shorts off his hips and letting them fall to the floor. Sidney grabbed the bottom of her shirt and broke the kiss long enough to pull the shirt over her head, throwing it on the floor with his shorts. He brought his hand up to cup her breasts as his lips found hers again. Sidney lined himself upagainst her enterance and entered her in one swift motion. Karen let go of him and leaned back on her hands with Sidney following her lead and put his hands beside hers, pressing his body into hers as he pumped into her. Their eyes locked together as the passion roared throughout each other's bodies letting the orgasms rise, bringing them both other the edge together. Sidney smiled before capturing her lips and sitting up with her in his arms. Karen broke the kiss and just looked at him.

"Ok, yes, I caved in to you. But it's all your fault for being so damn irresistable. So you're not taking this away from me are you?"

"Let's see how you play first. One bad game and this doesn't happen until your season is completely over, got it?"

"Man your tough."

"Yeah but you love me anyway."

"Absolutely baby" he said then kissed her again.

"Good, now will you make me some pancakes?"

"Only if you dance around for me while I'm cooking." Karen just laughed and nodded her head. Sidney helped her off the table and they got redressed before making breakfast. Karen turned up the radio and danced around, singing what songs came on. She would lightly grind on him, getting a blush from him. When breakfast was done, they got everything on the plates and sat down to eat.

"I hope you don't mind, but Flower invited us over to watch the Flyers/Caps game today."

"No, I don't mind. I still get you for another three days before we know what's going on." Karen saw the look on Sidney's face change "what's wrong?"

"Nothing it's just any one else would say that I spend enough time with the guys and freak out if I wanted to spend a real off day wth any of them."

"You told me one time that friends were the most important in anyone's life and you've never once kept me away from mine, I can't keep you from yours."

"Thanks baby, but there is another agenda on the way."

"And that would be?"

"There are a couple houses up for sale around Marc's house and maybe we could stop and take a look at them. You still ok with all this?"

"I told you I was Sid but I have to have that feeling when I walk in if it fits us. I don't want to settle on a house just because it's close to one of the guys. Like this house just doesn't hold memories, it feels right when we're together here. I want our new house to have that feeling too."

"I understand all that baby and I would never ask you to move unless you're truly sure it's us."

"Thank you." They finished breakfast and got ready to head over to Marc's house.
